All About Me
As a Birth & Postpartum Doula, I feel it is truly a blessing to have the opportunity to share my knowledge with families in Calgary and the surrounding areas. I am also honoured to be a part of the small but growing number of Black Birth Workers in Canada. I am passionate about approaching birth from a healing and holistic standpoint. "Alexa is the type of person to think for you and personally I needed that, so I can just breathe. I was already overwhelmed with having a home birth, and not being fully prepared she noticed that and asked what are the responsibilities, and made them her own. The way she communicated with me provided me with the security and trust that everything is going in divine order.  Her presence is peaceful positive and graceful, which calmed me. Her voice is soothing and helped keep me grounded and focused while pushing. Having her for birth and postpartum provided me with the reality that I am in control and that I'm doing everything right, watching her take care of me, my home, and our family made me cry over how grateful I am to be cared for in a way I feared I wasn't going to get if I didn't have her. She really went above and beyond for us to the point where I felt guilty for all the support she was giving. I love this women and I wouldn't need anyone else for birth, I knew because of her my road back to myself will be effortless and clear minded. "
